How to Connect

To connect to CaféNET, do the following:

Step 1

Start with your notebook computer off and make sure your WiFi card is inserted properly into the PCMCIA slot on the side of your computer, or go directly to step 2 if you are using a Wi-Fi enabled laptop (with internal WiFi).

Step 2

Turn your computer on. If you are using a WiFi enabled laptop make sure the WiFi is turned on, most laptops have a switch or button. When your computer is finished booting up then set your wireless SSID or Network Name to "cafenet". (see links with instructions for your operating system).

Step 3

Open a Web browser and you should be automatically directed to the CaféNET Home Page. If you are, you are connected properly.

Go through the CaféNET Home Page to complete the connection process. If you do not see the CaféNET Home Page, you may need to configure to check the SSID or Network Name.
